The Plainfield | Guilford Township Public Library is a vital community resource for Plainfield and Guilford Township. Our library helps assure our community’s economic health, cultural vitality, and livability. An average of 750 people a day pass through its doors in search of materials to meet their cultural, educational, and information needs.
A library like ours does not “happen” or continue to grow and develop without the support of the community. Throughout the history of our library, individuals in the community have given their time and money to insure that the library not only provides for present needs, but also stays around as a great resource for future generations.
There are many ways to support the Plainfield | Guilford Township Public Library:
- Friends of the Library: The FOL is a membership organization that raises money for materials, equipment and programming, and provides volunteers for library events.
- Plainfield Public Library Endowment: The endowment, held by the Hendricks County Community Foundation, supports on-going library development to ensure the viability of the library in the future.
- Gift and Memorial Funds: The library has two gift and memorial funds which are used to purchase materials or items for the library. These funds are the general Gift and Memorial Fund and the Historical Gift and Memorial Fund.
- Become a Volunteer: Volunteering at the library is a great way to show your support. Becoming a volunteer is easy; just fill out an application and complete a background check and you’re set to go.
